Ampelmann makes motion-compensated gangways, a hydraulic platform that cancels a vessel's motion in all six directions so people can simply walk between a heaving ship and a fixed offshore structure, instead of being crane-lifted in a basket or jumping to a ladder. Over 60 of its systems work across the globe in oil, gas and wind, and a single HSSE department has to keep safety processes moving across all of them.
Ampelmann started with safety observations in Capptions and kept going, adding a digital toolbox, risk assessments, non-conformity reports and site visits into the same platform, until it covered the department's core workflow rather than just one task.
What changed since we started using Capptions is that the HSSE department could work much more efficiently. We had better reporting to management, with more specific data.
