Royal Den Hartogh Logistics is a family-owned Dutch bulk-logistics provider, moving liquid and liquefied-gas chemicals, polymers and food-grade products worldwide since 1920, with around 2,600 people, 54 offices in 27 countries and a fleet of more than 25,000 tank containers. That cargo puts it under the strictest transport-safety regimes there are, ADR on the road, IMDG at sea, and the risk lives at the loading and unloading points on customer sites it doesn't control. Managing HSEQ across that called for something rare: a ready-made platform that could still be shaped to Den Hartogh's specific use cases.
Under HSEQ Manager Nick van der Ende, the team adopted Capptions as exactly that, an off-the-shelf solution with real customisation, tuned to how Den Hartogh actually runs its checks. Field Supervisor Peter Boodt's test was simpler: the latest forms are always there, and it's easy enough that people use it.
Because each check takes less time, the team runs more of them week to week, and the scalability means adding new checks doesn't mean adding friction. Ease of use is what turns a system people tolerate into one they actually keep using.
